I've been lurking on your blog for a while and just wanted to say I really like and admire what you're trying to achieve in London.I think riding your bike in normal (and stylish) clothing and footwear is a great way to encourage others to do the same.Leading by example, so to say.I think that cycling shouldn't just be the preserve of the lycra clad sports or "recreational" hobby cyclist. It should be about ordinary people cycling as a means of practical transport, that's how real critical mass is created. I could go on but do please take a look at these sites if you haven't already, they show how it's been achieved in Denmark: www.copenhagengirlsonbikes.blogspot.com/
and it's sister site:www.cycleliciousness.blogspot.com/
In Copenhagen they definitely have got it right. Why can we not replicate what they have here (I'm in Ireland) and in your country? I think the political will has to be there of course to invest in bike infrastructure, but your blog and others like it are a good start too and encourage others to advocate for real change wherever they live. Keep up the good work ;)

Hi Christina
Thanks so much for your comment. It looks like we are very much on the same wavelength. What is the cycling scene like in Ireland? Things are changing in London but there is still along way to go to change peoples perceptions and get more ladies (or people in general) on their bikes.
The 2 Copenhagen blogs are fantastic, the photos are truly inspiring and show how bicycle culture can really blossom.
I am launchig my official website soon so email me at caz@cyclechic.co.uk and I can then email you when it's up and running
Keep in touch
