My lotus wire mesh front basket broke yesterday when I had 10 pounds in it. I am bummed cuz I like to use it for shopping...bread, milk, etc......found your site cuz checking out bike baskets.Just thought I'ld pass along my experience. I guess this basket is only good for looking cool and some flowers or newspaper etc...Thanks for the cool site.

Thanks for your tip julie. It seems some baskets are just not heavy weight enough cope! Hope you've found a more sturdy one. let me know which one you went for
