As I write this verdict, I am sitting in our office wearing the GoFluo Darkflow Vest. I have been
testing it out but can’t bring myself to take it off… BECAUSE IT LOOKS SO COOL. We have been on
the hunt for a stylish, yet effective hi-vis vest for women for a long time and are very excited to
welcome the GoFluo brand and products to Cyclechic.
The vest is more body-warmer style (but without body-warmer padding) making it feel cool and
stylish to wear. It also has a great retro feel to it, with the inverted rainbow stripes. The hood is also
a great feature; with the zip done right up and the hood on, you are nicely shielded from wind and
rain.
The colours are so wonderfully bright and visible, even looking at myself wearing it in the mirror in
the daylight, it’s like a beacon of light so by night it will be effervescent – Perfect for that commute
home as the evenings draw in.
The fit is great to; I am testing out a size M. I am size 12 and it’s nicely baggy with no coat, but also
fits comfortably over a big winter coat.
We cannot recommend the GoFluo Darkflow Refective vest enough – A must for anyone who cycles
or runs at night and likes to look and feel cool.

Initially ordered size S but it was big on me even over a winter coat and long in length too being very gappy in the armholes. I reordered an XS size (thank you Caz for your great customer service) and it fits great being shorter in length. This definitely helps when you’re only 5’ 1”! Would have loved a pocket on the other side too!

I love the design of this top. I’m normally a UK Size 14-16. I wanted a narrower fit for running, so initially ordered a size Medium, but this was still way too loose. I now have the size Small and am very happy with it! Thank you for the great customer service.

I’m pleased with this top. I’m on the taller side (around 176 cm) and quite a big build (UK size 16 with very broad shoulders) and I ordered the large, which is long enough in the body, and has plenty of room underneath for multiple layers. I could probably have got away with the medium, though. I love the bright colours, the pocket is handy, and the quality is great.

I absolutely love my GoFluo vest. I bought it for running, have worn it a few times now and it does the job perfectly. I’m a size 12/14 and like loose fitting tops for running so went for a medium based on the other reviews and size guide on GoFluo’s website. It’s perfect for me size wise although if you like a closer fit you might want to size down. I’ve had loads of compliments from people in my running group when wearing this. Definitely a good buy!

Love this reflective hi-vis gilet.
Looked around at others. Another very popular hi-vis brand was a bit too long, a bit thick (like a builder’s plastic sack) and no double zip, which was the clincher for me.
This is perfect for 5ft2 me, the double zip gives the nice option to have it nearly open when hot, and the rainbow chevrons stand out in the daylight. The grey, obviously, stands out at night.
Perfect.
SIZING: the reviews are right – it comes up big. I am 14/16, and the small is just right. Could fit a jumper or two underneath as well!

Size: I’m a size 10-12 so the S sizing is a little big if you don’t want to wear it over bulky clothes, but the XS fits me perfectly.

Lovely shiny safety vest, looks good in the daylight and amazing in the dark. Expensive for a safety vest, but then most other safety vests are frankly hideous. Slight complaint on the sizing, which is very much on the large side, especially around the armholes. I bought at XS, and even so the armholes are quite flappy – certainly plenty of room for bulky winter layers underneath. I would have been happy to do without the hood, as I usually wear something warmer on my head underneath the helmet, and hood-over-helmet can obstruct vision when you turn your head to the side. I’m giving a gold start to Cyclechic for their great customer service when I missed out on the first batch of these vests.
