Privacy Policy

The aim of this policy is to inform you of how we collect, use and store your data and how we adhere to the GDPR policy that came in to play on 25th May 2018. We have tried to use language that is as plain and concise as possible, but if anything is unclear please do not hesitate to get in touch by emailing caz@cyclechic.co.uk.

How we use your data and why

When you place an order with us we take the following details:

·       Your name – so we know what to call you and for safe delivery of your order.

·         Email address – so we can email you order updates.

·         Delivery address – to ensure we get your order to you safely.

·         Telephone number – we’ll only call if we have a question or problem regarding your order.

·         Credit card details and billing address – we only ask for these when you place an order, we do not store them. They are handled by a secure payment processor. See Security Policy below.

We use this data for legitimate reasons – to get your order to you safe and sound – and will only contact you if there is a problem or a question we need to ask you about your order.

Your name, address and email address are shared with our mailing centre, Compete Mailings, on a secured online despatch log. Complete Mailings uses this data to pack your order and dispatch it to you. Complete Mailings complies with GDPR and only uses your data to despatch your order. It does not store it or use it for any other purpose.

We will not use your contact details to send you marketing information unless you have opted into our newsletter.

We will not share your information with any third parties.

How we store your data and for how long

Your data, as described above, will remain on your account unless you choose to edit or delete it (see how to edit and delete my data below). This data can only be accessed by you and by authorised members of staff here at Cyclechic.

We will store your name, address, email address and order details on our despatch log for one year. This is so we can provide the best service possible and answer any questions you have about your order after you have placed it. The despatch log is secured online and can only be accessed by authorised members of staff at Cyclechic and Compete Mailings.

If you want your details taken off the despatch log after you have received your order, email us at caz@cyclechic.co.uk and we will delete them.

We use a password-protected Dropbox account to secure the despatch log, and your account details are held on our website which is hosted by Digital Ocean.

How to edit and delete your data

You can log in to your account by going to ‘My account’ (top right on the homepage). Here you can view and edit your details. If you want to delete your account, go to:

My account > Edit > scroll down to the bottom and press the delete button.

If you are unable to edit or delete, or have any questions, please email caz@cyclechic.co.uk
