Last year I noticed that I was doing a lot of cycling and general rushing around and never seemed to have the time to stretch. The result was aching legs and sore joints so I decided to take an hour out of my schedule each week and join a Yoga class.
I found a great class local to me in Chiswick run by Dipa Trivedi, her company is called YogaMuni and she runs classes in various locations in West London; Kensington, Richmond, Ealing and Chelsea.
The class was small and intimate and Dipa knew I cycled so showed me specific moves that would work to both strengthen and stretch the muscles I use when on my bike.
The postive effect Yoga had on my body and mind was so great that I thought it vital I share some of my favourite Yoga positions in my book, The Girls’ Bicycle Handbook. Have a go yourself at home.
